Miziker Wins Fourth Major Award in the Tournament of Roses Parade

PASADENA, CA — The exhilarating Stellabration parade float show sponsored San Antonio gives Miziker its fourth major trophy win for this exciting float production featuring KC and the Sunshine band with 50 hip-hop street dancers.

Colorado Boulevard came alive with music, dancing and fireworks winning the Judges Special Trophy honoring the “Most Outstanding Showmanship and Dramatic Impact” Award. The float, designed to look like a party bus made of flowers carried legendary KC and the Sunshine band playing their hit songs including “Shake Your Bootie”. Both on the street and on the float were 50 of Los Angeles most talent hip-hop dancers, many of whom have been featured in motion pictures featuring this exciting style of music. Leading the unit were three dancing grape bunches. The parade unit was one of two selected to actually stop in front of the many television cameras broadcasting to the world. This has been the first year for this to happen and to be selected to do so was truly an honor. The stop was for exactly one minute and the performers gave it their all including the added special effects of fireworks, confetti canons. The sponsor was Los Angeles’ own San Antonio winery about to celebrate its 100 year anniversary. San Antonio markets many brands of wine including the popular Stella Rosa brand.

With its theme of “Stellabrate Good Times” it did exactly that, bringing the audience lining the street alive dancing, singing along and Stellabrating as the unit passed by. “I couldn’t believe the fun the crowd was having,” said KC. ‘At one point I jumped down off the float onto the street and women were running out from their places along the curb to dance with me as the crowd was cheering and singing. It was really great fun!”

“Our approach with this legendary parade when are asked to get involved is to expand the parade unit’s theme through visually exciting or unusual elements to add fun and enhance the audience’s experience, be it on television or live along the Street” adds Ron Miziker, Creative Director of Miziker Entertainment.

The parade is televised live world-wide and on five networks nationally while entertaining over 1 million people live on the streets of Pasadena.
